As we settle into Ordinary Time, it is fitting to pause briefly to reflect on what has been going well and what may need adjustment in the future.  Because soon we will be moving forward. Those of us who serve behind the scenes are already turning our attention toward the rapidly approaching season of Lent and the preparation for the celebration of the Resurrection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although our altar guild work often takes place behind the scenes and our hands tend to the tangible and holy hardware, we are united by a shared and deep commitment to Christ and the Church. As we offer our time and talents \u2014 setting God\u2019s table week after week \u2014 we do so to the glory of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grant, O Lord, that we may handle holy things with reverence and prayer, and perform our work with such faithfulness and devotion that it may rise with acceptance before you and obtain your blessing; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
