As NAGA members, we are responsible for serving the altar and upholding the National Altar Guild’s traditions and mission through leadership. Serving on the NAGA Board is a meaningful way to deepen your service and strengthen our community and help shape the future of altar guild ministry across the Episcopal church.

Each Triennium brings new opportunities for fresh voices and faithful hearts to step forward. Regardless of your previous experience with a parish or diocesan altar guild, participation in the wider church is welcome.

Leadership in NAGA is not about knowing all the answers — it is about sharing your time, your experience and your prayerful presence in the service to God and others. By serving as a NAGA officer, individuals can also:

• Be a part of conversations that impact altar guilds across country.

• Help develop resources and support for local guilds.

• Strengthen the connection between generations of altar guilds members.

• Uphold the beauty, order and reverence that define our ministry.

We encourage you to prayerfully consider standing for election. If you have ever thought, “I want to do more,” this is your moment.

Let your willingness to serve be a light to others.

Nomination details and descriptions of available roles will be forthcoming in our next issue of the NAGA Epistle

We are here to support you every step of the way.

Step forward. Say yes! Help lead us into the next season of faithful service.

Dianne Walters, NAGA Nominating Chair
